The Great Muppet Caper

I may know quite a bit about Disney, or more specifically Walt Disney World, but I am wise enough to know that I don’t, and never will, know everything there is to know on the subject. In fact, every once in a while I even come across a mystery...

Such is the case today. A while back I acquired this badge from a press event that features the Muppets from September 29, 1991. The badge features stamps for both MuppetVision 3-D and The Days of Swine and Roses, the subtitle to Muppets on Location, but doesn’t specifically list them as part of the festivities.

Here is a reconstructed timeline for the Muppets at Disney-MGM Studios in 1991:

May 16 – MuppetVision 3-D Opens
September 2 – Here Comes the Muppets Closes
September 16 – Muppets on Location: The Days of Swine and Roses Opens

While the event took place well after the openings of both MuppetVision 3-D and Muppets on Location my current theory, and gut feeling, is that this was the official press showing for both shows. Anyone have any further information to provide on this mysterious piece of Muppet memorabilia?
