Environmentality: Intrinsic Value - Part V

Environmentality, in the end, is the Disney way to care for our planet and, in typical Disney fashion, to do so in an entertaining manner with a recognizable face. Whether it is through one of the many projects sponsored by the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund that save endangered species and their habitats, or it is cutting back on the number of copies made for a meeting, or it is by creating a contest that raises environmental awareness in Cast Members or school-age students, or it is introducing reusable mugs in order to reduce waste at resorts of Walt Disney World, Environmentality is the idea that small changes, when adopted by everyone, can make a difference.
While there are thousands of ways to respect the environment and its inhabits, and a thousand more ways to protect, salvage, and renew the natural world no one can do it on their own. Embracing every possible manner to help the environment is impossible, especially for one person, but by turning off a light or faucet when it isn’t being used is a step in the right direction. That is the mindset of Environmentality, every little bit helps, everyone can help, and together the impact can be remarkable.
For more information on Disney’s environmental impact, I recommend checking out their annual Environmental Report, the Enviroport, which not only discusses some of their plans and projects, but also gives a brief history of Walt Disney: the Conservationist, ideas that are implementable in most homes and offices, and a couple of wildlife conservation case studies.

I am pretty sure I've said this before, but I find these posts on the Environmentaility of Disney truly amazing and interesting.
I know when we worked there, they were very keen on letting us know how we could help the environment in our daily working lives. I think it's great that a large company is trying to make an impact and spread the word about the small changes we can make in our day-to-day lives that can impact on larger changes.
