Feed the critters

It has been a while since we’ve looked at any crates in and around Walt Disney World, and the place to look for intriguing crates is, of course, Frontierland. Perhaps we should find one we can discuss quickly. Oh good, we’ve found some. This crate is for Lictonic Slat Licks. According to the October 1920 Official Gazette of the United States Patent Office (and I am a sucker for a good gazette), Lictonic is described as a cattle, horse, sheep, and hog conditioner. A conditioner is a vitamin-type supplement to help regulate the internal functions of an animal. In the case of the Lictonic, the salt licks are used to make sure that the residents of the farm, particularly those who are herbivores, are receiving enough minerals in their diet. As Lictonic claims, “Saves feed, saves money, improves stock, prevents grease. Buy it by the case!
