If you want to find a piece of EPCOT Center history, don’t go looking around Epcot. Instead, head over to Backlot Express in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where the outline of a familiar vehicle rests high upon a shelf.

Known as a hoverlift, the vehicle was central to the Mesa Verde scene of Horizons. While I don’t believe this is the same vehicle as the hoverlift named Pegasus that rested on the launch pad in the orange scented harvesting scene, it is likely that it was part of the modeling or molding process for the vehicle.

While displays featuring the forty year history of Walt Disney World are few and far between, save for what can be found in One Man’s Dream, it is nice to find these remnants still fill spaces around the parks.
